It has been almost a year and a half that Sonya has been working with me to feel better, get stronger, and change my body. A few months before I met her, I had been over 100 lbs overweight and felt rather hopeless about how I felt physically – I was tired all the time and my joints hurt. I knew if I didn’t do something, that was as good as it was going to get. At only 43 I felt so old! I must confess that I was a bit intimidated to be working with a trainer of her caliber, and I run for the hills if someone is too bossy or rough in their approach. My fears were unfounded. Sonya has been the best thing that has happened to me on my journey to work on myself. I feel like I’ve hit the jackpot, because not only is she so caring about her clients, but has she been an excellent motivator, and as a healthcare professional, she integrates body, mind and nutrition in her approach. So far I’ve lost over 70 lbs and I am well on my way to my goal. Not only that, but I’m stronger and able to do things with my body that I never thought I would be able to do. Sonya worked around my existing knee injury so that my workouts would be effective and not cause any further damage. She works with me on nutrition, and she recommended that I get my hormones checked as that could also affect how I feel. All of these things have helped tremendously. I just love her and I’m so grateful to have her in my life.
Just a quick note to say how much I benefited from working out with you. First, let me say that I enjoyed the workouts and that you are a consummate professional.
When we started my BMI was in the mid 20% range and my weight was around 205lbs. I am now at 189lbs and my BMI is in the mid teens. I feel great and my sons tell me that I am ripped which entertains me enormously!

I learned some things recently that are very true. You are never too old to start something new, its never too late and if you put your mind to something it can be done. Yes the road may be rocky, there will be hills to climb and bridges to cross, but when you get to the other side you will find that the journey is so worth it. I can't believe I am saying this at fifty something, I would have never believed that I could be transformed from a non-athlete to a competitor, from a couch potato to a gym rat but with hard work and dedication I was able to do it. My advice to all you fifty somethings...get off the couch, you are not too old to change and you will feel so much better.

I have been a client of Sonya’s for about 3 1/2 years now. I began to see her to help me reach my highest potential and was struggling in a few areas due to an excessive travel schedule at work. From day 1 she helped me to maximize my time and gave me workouts tailored to living in a hotel during the week. This helped tremendously.
In the last year and a half I began to struggle with intense pain, thought it a sciatic nerve issue, and found out I have severe osteoarthritis and needed both of my hips replaced. During this process I tried everything with physical therapy to avoid the surgery and Sonya continued to modify my workouts to accommodate my pain threshold, lack of mobility, etc. I never stopped seeing her as she was my “bright spot” in my week. She pushed me where I needed it, was always patient with me.

Over the years I feel like I became a professional at losing and then regaining weight with more and more weight being put on year after year. Many times I thought I had an understanding of nutrition and what it took to be successful as I tried many different programs, but I could never really achieve what I was hoping for during these times. Several months ago I was introduced to Sonya and she suggested that I try this Ketosis plan and I agreed to try it. I have to admit I was a little skeptical, but I also knew that Sonya had the background and nutritional understanding that I did not have, so I committed to it. The first few days were a little tough as my body was adapting to a different way of eating than I have ever done before. I am sure glad I did not throw in the towel after the first 3-4 days because the results have been better than I ever expected. I found that I was not as hungry as I would be on other programs and the weight began to come off faster than I expected, but not only was weight coming off, but I was also starting to build lean muscle as I lost more and more body fat. I started sleeping better in the evenings and I began having more and more energy throughout the day. I used to regularly drink an energy drink in the afternoon and I found that I no longer needed them as I was not getting tired. In the mornings I used to also drink a 5-hour energy prior to workouts just to help me get started. I no longer drink those either and I make it through the workouts fine. Sonya has been great about putting together a workout program for me and with weekly monitoring of my progress has made minor adjustments to my eating plans to keep the progress going. I would never have known what adjustment to make and what to look for each week as I was doing my inbody readings. Sonya has been absolutely great to work with and I could not have made this type of progress without her. It's also been pretty cool to shop for new cloths and feel comfortable in what I am now buying. My suggestion to everyone would be to first make the decision that you want to do something about getting healthier. Second, get with Sonya and get a game plan together and last, stick with the plan and you will see and feel the results.
